December 21, 2012

This topic continues to resurface. I feel I have to write about it. I have actually researched this topic because it intrigues me. Let's get one thing straight, the world is not going to end on December 21st 2012. Even the Mayans who are responible for the calendar that points at this date do not believe that. There is one theory that I like to believe in. Earth has an equator. So why can't galaxies have equators as well? If you are in the Northern Hemisphere and flush a toilet the water spins in the opposite direction as it would if you were in the Southern Hemisphere. Trust me, I've done it. So this theory that I like, and I'm not saying it's absolutely the right theory, is as simple as that. On December 21st 2012, I believe that Earth is going to pass through a galactic equator which would mean that Earth would begin to spin to in the opposite direction. This would not happen instantaneously. Just the thought of that is retarded. We have already proven that planets in our galaxy spin in the opposite direction than others do. If you believe in the big bang theory, this can not be unless there is something like a galactic equator that would force planets to do so. We know that Mars is slowing down and beginning to start spinning the opposite way. So if this is true, what would happen on this specific date? This theory would mean that the polar ice caps would reverse and parts of Earth that are not currently familiar with particular climates would be introduced to them. In history, certain things have happened to keep the Earth's population in check like the Black Plague for instance. Who's to say that this date is not the next thing that keeps Earth's population in check. We're currently at a little over 7 Billion right now and from what I studied in school, Earth cannot produce enough food to support more than 8 Billion. This date is not the end of the world, but it could be for a significant number of people. The best part is there is no way to prepare for it because nobody knows exactly what will happen. But what will happen?.. Maybe nothing. Maybe something.

There Should Be No Walks in Softball!

Last night in my Softball Game one of my team mates got slightly upset because I led off the game by popping out on a 3-1 pitch. “Dude, why’d you swing at that? You had a 3-1 count!”. I just looked at him and said, “I will never settle for a walk in Softball if I can help it”. Which may have been the wrong decision at the time. I did finish the game 3 for 4 and my last at bat, I swung at another 3-1 pitch and got an inside the park homer so I had to point that out to my team mate. Plus the Center Fielder took half a look at me and scooted up a bit. So I took one look at him and thought to myself, I think I’m going to hit the ball over that jackass’s head in Center Field. I think I was rounding 3rd when he finally grabbed the ball. But seriously, there should be no walks in Softball. The mere thought is just ridiculous. If you are walking up to the plate in a Softball Game even thinking about a walk for any reason then you should not play any sports what so ever. PS – The movie Pineapple Express is fucking hilarious.

Asteroids

Am I the only one that is now officially afraid of asteroids? You do realize that an asteroid just passed within 38,000 miles of Earth don't you. If that doesn't seem very close to you, consider this. The Universe could very possibly be INFINITE with INFINITE galaxies. If you want to know why we can't prove that the Universe is infinite then try counting to infinity. 38,000 miles is very close when you consider how large even just the Milky Way Galaxy is. Also consider that our satellites orbit Earth at about 25,000 miles or so. The best part about this blog hasn't even been said yet. The best part is that we found out that this asteroid existed 5 days before it would have impacted Earth. An asteroid that is 40 yards wide would have had the strength of hundreds of nuclear missiles and would have done very significant damage where ever it would have made impact. 5 Days. In Deep Impact, Morgan Freeman told Earth about that comet months in advance. In Armageddon, Bruce Willis and his team had a couple months to train for their mission. In real life, 5 days is enough time to get religious because I guess that's all we would have been able to do. Why did some scientist find it when it was so close to Earth you ask? That's because people on this planet don't really seem to give a shit about anything except money or something that will profit. The budget for finding these asteroids, meteors, comets, whatever the hell you wanna call them, is proposterous. There is probably more funding for executing murderers in humane ways instead of just shooting them. You would think that Earthlings would be more concerned about an event like this happening that would end life as we know it on Earth, but we really don't seem to care. We are a unique species.
